We hope you are all keeping safe and well.
From 5th November 2020 our on-line Zoom classes have been increased due to the suspension of our “in studio” classes to comply with the recent Government lockdown.
Our Tuesday evening class at 19.30 with Helen will continue to be an intermediate class for students with at least 6 months’ yoga experience and who are able to practise a headstand (Sirsansana) and shoulder stand (Sarvangasana). The remaining classes will be of a general nature. If you are unsure which class would be suitable for you, please get in touch for a discussion.
You will be able to book and make payment for the on-line Zoom classes via our new class booking page. Please select from the main classes menu.
This is a new venture for us so if you have any comments on the process or the email confirmations you will receive, please let us know. Also if you are unable to book for classes in this way, if you send an email or give us a call we can book you in.
If you need to borrow equipment again, please email or give Heather a call 07535247474 to arrange a time to collect.
A big thank you to all students who stayed in touch via our last Zoom only classes and for your class donations. We will be charging £5 per class for the following schedule but if this is a barrier to you accessing a class, please get in touch.
To access the classes you will need to download Zoom to your phone, IPad, tablet or laptop. You can download here https://zoom.us/support/download
Iyengar Yoga UK have also confirmed that we are able to teach students via on-line classes if they have not been regularly taught face to face by us previously. However, if you are new to Ribble Valley Yoga and are interested in joining a virtual class, please give one of us a call for a telephone introductory discussion before booking a class.
Disclaimer – In following the on-line class programme/sequence students agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might occur as a result.
Equipment for on-line classes
You will need a mat (you could also be on a wood floor if not) and ideally a blanket but you may not have other equipment such as pads, bricks, a yoga chair and a bolster. So a thick book or two, a stand chair, rolled up towels and firm pillows will be just as good and perhaps a dressing gown belt or scarf to substitute for a yoga belt.
